Frank Mason studied at the National Academy's School of Fine Arts from 1935 to 1938, and the Art Students League under Frank DuMond. Among his honors are: The Gold Medal, the International Exhibition, Monaco; the American Artists Professional League; several awards from the National Arts Club and the Cross of Merit from the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, Venice, Italy for a series of paintings of the life of St. Anthony of Padua in the Church of San Giovanni Di Malta, Venice. His easel paintings are found in public collections such as: the Butler Institute of American Art, Youngstown, Ohio; Duke University, Durham, North Carolina, and the Chrysler Art Museum, Norfolk, VA. He is also active as a portrait painter and has taught for many years at the Art Students League.
