American, b. 1945
A native to California, Rob Quigley’s work focuses on the geographic, social and cultural elements that define a particular place. Concerned as much with neighborhood making as the building itself, Quigley’s work is noted for his consideration of context.

Established in 1978, Rob Wellington Quigley, FAIA, is a full-service architecture and planning firm with offices in San Diego and Palo Alto, California. The firm has produced notable projects from fire stations, libraries, museums, transit stations, and university and school facilities to affordable housing, mixed-use market rate projects and single-family homes. His most high profile project is the San Diego Central Library with its iconic lattice dome.

A recipient of over 70 AIA honors and awards, including the American Institute of Architects’ prestigious Maybeck Award and the California Firm Award, Quigley has been recognized for consistently producing distinguished design.
