Maurice Logan studied at the Partington Art School, the California College of Arts and Crafts, and the Mark Hopkins Art Institute, all in San Francisco, California; and at the School of Art Institute of Chicago. His awards included several prizes at the California State Fair: the Oakland Art Museum; the American Watercolor Society, and the California Watercolor Society. His works are in public collections such as: the Los Angeles County Art Museum; the Oakland Art Museum; the San Diego Art Gallery, California; and the Staten Island Institute of Arts and Sciences, New York. His favored medium was watercolor.
