Label TextThe English born John Scott Williams began his career as a book and magazine illustrator, and worked for Collier’s, Scribner’s Monthly, and other American magazines. He was also active as a muralist, designer of stained glass, and porcelain enamelist. Little is known of his activity as a watercolorist, but he received prizes at the 1924, 1925 and 1927 annual exhibitions of the American Watercolor Society.
