Label TextBacher's etching "Castello Quarter, Riva" dates from the early 1880s. The work features an image of the quay beside the Canale di S. Marco where the Via Garibaldi branches to the right. On the paved embankment, men, women and children are pictured walking or learning over a stone parapet in the far left background to the left is the Giardini Pubblici. In the middle ground gondolas, barges, sailing boats and a small steamboat are visible.
