Label TextSome years later, he grew dissatisfied with this original diploma portrait and replaced it with a newer likeness, expecting the older one to be destroyed. Although it remained in the Academy's collection, significant damage to the canvas edges caused it to be cut down from 25 x 30 inches in 1929-30.
