John Dubrow

John Dubrow’s paintings reside in the space between figuration and abstraction. Often generated from ipad sketches done on site and always improvised and continually reimagined in the studio, the paintings evolve over periods of several months which frequently turns into years. This process places the aspect of Time at the work’s core. John Dubrow studied at the San Francisco Art Institute and has been exhibiting regularly in New York since 1985.
