for Alfred Cheney Chadbourn
American, 1921 - 1998
Chadbourn studied at the Chouinary Art Institute, Los Angeles, California, from 1940 to 1942, and from 1947 to 1951 in Paris at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, and at the Academie de la Grand Chaumiere. His awards include one from the Silvermine (Connecticut) Guild, 1957, and the Louis Comfort Tiffany Award, 1959. At the National Academy, he has won the 1981 Carlsen Prize. He resides in Yarmouth, Maine, and is represented by the Barridorf Gallery, Portland, Maine.
