Arthur Cohen studied in New York at the Cooper Union with Edwin Dickinson and Robert Gwathmey from 1947-49, and subsequently at the Art Students League with Reginald Marsh in 1950, and again with Dickinson, 1960. An etcher as well as painter, he works in New York and, in the summer months, in the Provincetown, Massachusetts area of Cape Cod. Among his awards is the Adolf and Clara Obrig Prize, conveyed in the Academy annual exhibition of 1977.
