Label TextDeborah Remington is primarily a lithographer. "Tempus," the first etching of Remington's etching career, was done while she was a visiting artist at the University of Nebraska. She etched one zinc plate and then engraved all of the others for each additional color. As in the case of her abstract paintings, Remington intends her forms and title to be nonreferential. Remington says that she takes a pleasure in "representing shapes that look one way and then shift to be just the opposite."
