Jim Cutler, FAIA, founded Cutler Anderson Architects on Bainbridge Island, WA, in 1977. The firm is internationally renowned for its environmental awareness and attention to details. Cutler Anderson also designs house products including hardware, lighting, and furniture.
Cutler is a Member of the American Institute of Architects College of Fellows, he received the Gold Medal Honor from American Institute of Architects, Seattle Chapter, and is the Co-Founder and past Vice President of the Bainbridge Island Land Trust. Cutler received a Master of Architecture from Louis I. Kahn Studio at University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. He has taught at numerous institutions including Dartmouth, Harvard Graduate School of Design, Universities of California at Berkeley, and Middlebury College.
