Bruno Mankowski

Mankowski studied at municipal and state art schools in Berlin and at the Beaux Arts Institute of Design in New York. He has executed sculptural commissions for public buildings in Chesterfield, South Carolina; for Macomb's Junior High School, Bronx, New York; for the Medallic Art Commission; for the ships S. S. Independence and S. S. Consititution; and for the Steuben Glass company. He is a member of the National Sculpture Society, the Allied Artists of America, the Audubon Artists, and the American Artists Professional League. His work has appeared in many National Academy exhibitions since the early 1940s.
