Leslie Prince ThompsonANA 1922; NA 19371880 - 1963

Thompson began his studies at the Massachussets Normal Art School in 1900 and then worked at the Boston Museum School under Tarbell (1901-1904). He won the Paige Travelling Scholarship which enabled him to travel in Europe where he remained until 1906.

He taught painting at the Boston Museum School (1913-1930) and taught summer classes at Ogunquit, Maine. In 1917 he married Margaret Vanderveer Hathaway of Phildelphia.

Thompson exhibited widely in the Boston area, including one-artist shows at the Guild of Boston Artists, and shows at the Rhode Island School of Design (1914) and at Rocherster (1913).
