Label TextBarry Eiswerth is a partner in the historic architectural firm H2L2 based in Philadelphia that was founded in 1907 by National Academician Paul Cret. Eiswerth joined the firm in 1965 and his experience includes master planning, historic renovation and adaptive reuse, interior design, and architectural design. This is H2L2's design for the Mikveh Israel Synagogue in Philadelphia, the second oldest congregation in the country and the oldest in Philadelphia. The plan was part of a larger and considered within the context of the complex and designed with the intention of reinvigorating downtown Philadelphia. It is located on Philadelphia's Independence Mall and shares a site with the National Museum of Jewish American History.
