Label TextThis composition isolates several aspects of the storm, but wind is perhaps its most interesting dynamic. Wind is a particularly elusive subject, visible only by its effects. Here, it blows the rain at a diagonal, spins the windmill to a blur with its force, and bends the trees and crops to its will. Reinforced by the heavy rains and the jagged lightning strike at the right, Reynard's storm is dangerous, jeopardizing the farmer's crop as well as the farm itself.
