Label TextA black-and-white rainbow is itself a challenge to create in a believable manner, but Thomas Moran used it here as a means to unify his composition. The control that the arched form exerts on the otherwise chaotic sky calms the scene and reinforces the sense of peace that accompanies the storm's passage.
