Label TextPhilip Latimer Dike attended Chouinard Art Institute in the late 1920s, before moving to New York and continuing his studies at the Art Students League. After returning to California, he began working as an illustrator at Walt Disney Studios. In 1947, he and Rex Brandt founded the Brandt-Dike Summer School of Painting, further perpetuating the California watercolor tradition.
