Against a grey background, an almost full length depiction of a man, facing front, seated in a wood chair, with his left leg crossing his right. His white hair is balding, he has a moustache and blue eyes. With gold pince-nez on his nose, the man is attired in formal dress, wearing a black suit and vest, white high collared shirt, white tie with a small stickpin inserted into the knot, a white handerchief in his breast pocket. Along side on a table on the right his top hat is placed with the head opening up.
