Label TextA painter and printmaker of landscape-based abstraction, Amenoff evokes a terrain of soft-contoured forms and floating elements. In his use of the spit-bite aquatint technique, involving the biting of a plate with acid applied, as is most common, with a brush, he collaborated closely with artist and master printer Mohammed Khalil, to achieve transparent and amorphous effects. With his choice of blue, Amenoff wanted to convey a sense of atmospheric haze enveloping a dream world.
