Label TextIn this depiction of the Grand Canyon, one of Parshall's favorite subjects after 1910, he has chosen a particularly dramatic viewpoint and moment. There is no resting ground in for the viewer, the scene depict a chasm between two ridges. The setting sun glints off the crgas and peaks of the Canyon, illuminating the earth tones of the mountains, in glowing oranges and yellows.
